What times and days are classes held?
The Early Learners and Pre-Kindergarten Classes meet from 8:30-Noon on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings (no classes on Wednesday). An optional 2 day class is available.
What will my child learn?
You can expect your child to be learning math and language arts readiness, components of science and social studies, as well as music, art & physical education. Korean language and culture are also taught throughout the school year.
What curriculum does Mission Baptist Academy use?
Mission Baptist Academy uses a conglomeration of Bob Jones & Get Set for School (by Handwriting Without Tears) Curriculum. We have selected pieces pulled from these varied resources to create a well-rounded core.
What religious elements are incorporated in the teaching at Mission Baptist Academy?
Our Early Learner's (3-4 years old) Bible curriculum is primarily Scripture truths: Old and New Testament stories as well as the 10 Commandments series. The Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 years old) curriculum is more focused on Christian Living and we have designed our program to cover the 10 Commandments as well as both book 1 & 2 of “Child’s Book of Character Building: Growing Up in God’s World-At Home, at School, at Play”. Scripture truths and stories are incorporated throughout these pieces.
What size are the classes?
For the Early Learner's Class, Mission Baptist Academy maintains a maximum of 6 students to 1 teacher ratio. When children are in a large group the ratio is maintained by 12 students with 1 Lead Teacher and 1 Assistant Teacher.
For the Pre-Kindergarten Class, Mission Baptist Academy maintains a maximum of 8 students to 1 teacher ratio. When children are in a large group the ratio is maintained by 16 students with 1 Lead Teacher and 1 Assistant Teacher.
How do I know which class my child should attend?
Children who attend Mission Baptist Academy are placed into classes based upon two main criteria:
Designed for children who have turned 3 as of September 1, 2015. The Early Learners class seeks to develop the early learning skills to help your child prepare for the pre-kindergarten class.
Designed for children who have turned 4 as of September 1, 2015. The Pre-K class speeks to prepare your children to enter Kindergarten the following school year.
What are the entrance requirements?
In order to be considered for admission to Mission Baptist Academy your child must be three years of age and fully potty trained. Each child is considered individually on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Academy Director regarding exceptions: Office@missionbaptistacademy.com
How much does Mission Baptist Academy cost?

How can I pay the Application & Registration Fees?
Application and Registration Fees will be paid via an electronic check (if paid in US Dollars), or through an online transfer to a Korean bank account (if paying in Korean Won).
Do we have to contract our child’s slot for a set length of time?
There is no contract regarding the length of time your child is enrolled. Mission Baptist Academy serves a transient community and does not require a school-year contract.
Student & Family Life
Does Mission Baptist Academy require a uniform?
Mission Baptist Academy does not require a uniform. Each child is required to have an MBA t-shirt to wear at their will; this shirt will only be required on special days for field trips, etc.
Does Mission Baptist Academy have a handbook?
Yes, the Mission Baptist Academy Student & Family Handbook is distributed at the start of the school year or upon your child's registration after the school year has begun.
How can parents get involved at Mission Baptist Academy?

Does Mission Baptist Academy have classes throughout the summer?
No, Mission Baptist Academy follows a more traditional western school calendar.
What does my child need for the first day of school?
Your child needs a water bottle (to be left at school), their own trash-less lunch, and a smile! Parents, you must submit the paperwork necessary to complete your child’s file on or prior to your child’s first day of school. Please contact the Academy Office if you have any questions.
Where is Mission Baptist Academy located?
Mission Baptist Academy is just a 6-minute walk away from the Osan Main Gate at the end of the Shin Jang Shopping Mall. Our Directions and Map page has detailed directions and a printable map for either walking or driving directions.
